Improve durability for heavy-duty vehicles with Delo

At Caltex Lubricants, our goal is to help our customers reach new heights by keeping their fleet competitive and minimizing operating costs. We understand the growing global challenge facing on-road vehicles today, that is why our customers can count on Delo heavy-duty premium engine oils outstanding performance to keep their engine parts going further and maximize equipment uptime.

The outstanding array of Delo family products engine oils, gear oils, transmission fluids and coolants are formulated to meet the intense demands that vehicles face on daily basis.

Delo Gold Ultra SAE 15W-40 formula provides excellent oxidation resistance, deposit and oil consumption control along wear protection for engine over the long haul no matter how harsh the climate conditions are. As a result, components like the main bearings, pistons, rocker arms, and crankshafts have exhibited minimal wear.

Delo XLC Antifreeze/Coolant on the other hand offers excellent protection against pitting, corrosion and erosion even on hard to protect metals like aluminium for heavy duty engines where the OEM specifies a nitrite free coolant.

DP World is one of the largest port operators in the world, running 65+ ports and handles an immense amount of container traffic 24/7 with minimum downtime on their terminal tractor equipment.

Caltex and DP World had the opportunity to tear down one of the terminal tractor trucks that operate on a Cummins engine and inspected its parts for wear and deposit control performance. The results were astounding, after 57,000 hours in severe service operation, the engine parts were in very good condition which reinforced  the excellent performance provided by Delo Gold Ultra in helping DP World achieve its tractor reliability goals.

The current bench tests like the Komatsu Hot Tube (KHT) and The Pressure Differential Scanning Calorimeter (PDSC) have been good screeners for lubricants.

Komatsu Hot Tube (KHT) show how well the oil’s capability to resist oxidation in high conditions or forms deposits under severe high temperatures at 290°C for 16 hours. While The Pressure Differential Scanning Calorimeter (PDSC) test measured the thin-film oxidation resistance of engine oils at 210ºC under dry air pressure of 100 psi which showed better performance compared to other competitor products.

Delo’s industry-leading lubricants have logged billions of miles and countless hours to provide superior protection to diesel engine parts and maximize component life so vehicles and equipment can go further.

Improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime with Delo’s proven performance lubricants.
