Taro Ultra 40
Slow-speed engine oils
Taro Ultra 40 is recommended for lubricating the cylinders of large two-stroke / slow-speed crosshead diesel engines continuously using low Sulphur fuel, under all loads and operating conditions. Running on low Sulphur fuel requires the reduction of base introduced into the cylinder. This can be achieved by optimizing the oil federate or selecting a diesel cylinder lubricant with a lower base number. Taro Ultra 40 should be used in accordance with OEM guidelines and recommendations.
Engine Protection
Effective acid neutralization ensures protection against excessive cylinder liner and piston ring wear, resulting, thus extending components service intervals.
Engine Cleanliness
Prevents ring sticking and minimizes deposit formation on the pistons and throughout the combustion chamber exhaust areas.
Storage Stability
Stable at ambient temperature and during long-term storage
Compatibility
Compatible with diesel cylinder lubricants generally known to the international marine trade
