VARTECH Industrial System Cleaner: Solution & Benefits

Understanding Varnish Understanding Varnish

In order to defeat varnish, one needs to understand the causes and implications. Industrial operators have understood the ramification of what varnish can do to their business operations. Many of them know the damaged extremities of varnish and how it can lead to a range of equipment problems, from poor performance to catastrophic failures. Varnish, in a way, is inevitably difficult to deal with or control, but not anymore.

Caltex Lubricants have developed the VARTECH Industrial System Cleaner (ISC), a two-step, clean-and-control solution to help you protect equipment from varnish and ensure peak productivity throughout business operations. Its triple-action technology relies on cutting through hard varnish layers and removes them as micro-sized particles, capturing and stabilizing these varnish particles in a protective barrier so they can be removed from the system without re-depositing in other parts of the equipment.

Its compatibility with the in-service oil ensures optimum operational flexibility while maintaining performance during the cleaning cycle that prepares the system for change out to fresh oil. Even if there were unexpected delays you can feel confident knowing that the cleaner can temporarily remain in your system without damaging internal components.

The industrial cleaning process is simple, streamlined and economic beating your typical conventional system cleaners that tend to be more complex and sometimes require additional steps, external filtration, multiple rinses and compatibility tests.

Some of the benefits of VARTECH ISC in contrast to other conventional cleaners is that the industrial cleaner is designed to dissolve varnish deposits from internal surfaces and then stabilize them for removal with the used oil - seeing it's very effective in ISO 32-68 viscosity oil as well and will not affect oil viscosity at the recommended concentrations. There is minimal impact on lubricant water separability as well as long-term new oil performance in residual amounts up to 2%.

Furthermore, it has shown minimal filter plugging, great seal compatibility and can clean high flow areas in as little as 15 minutes but is specifically formulated to maintain oil performance in circulation to allow for extended cleaning times of up to 30 days.
